Me to dealer: "take this check but hold it until Friday. It will bounce. this whole deal is contingent on the taxes coming in and that the numbers work out in our favor."
Dealer: "not a problem"
Today I get a call the car is in and ready. WTF? I need my taxes in for the down payment or the whole deal is off.
They trusted us enough with the deposit check not to bother holding it and now they want to rush us to purchase. I still have to swap out the radio back to the factory one too. It's snowing at the moment - sun snow to boot. Too damn cold to work on that shit in the car!
