Exactly what I expect. I already chirp those tires at lights without having to mash the pedal. Surprised me for the 4.0L engine. Didn't think it had that much oomph to it.
I still don't like the automatic tranny. It bangs, hesitates etc too much for my tastes. I shift much smoother on my own.
It's a ford, somewhere on that engine is a little screw it's near the air intake on escorts, it controls how the automatic tranny shifts, letting you spool up more or less by turning the screw up or down, you'll lose some torque but the car will shift smoother if you fiddle with it. just count how many turns you can see on the screw (write this down when you do it) <- do that then you screw it all the way in, count so you know youre right, then back it all the way up, count the screw threads ^ do that
