I learned when it came to christmas gifts it was best to guide my parents, not leave things to chance show them exactly what I was looking for. Anytime I thought they would do fine without guidance I got nonsense I wasn't interested in. As I got older they gave me a price limit I would pick out what worked for the budget and they made "santa" get it. The only people that were good at getting me gifts I liked or was interested in was my brother and my gf.
