Too damn hot here
(at last)
Took the camper up to our favourite campsite this weekend. Felt some what guilty since No1 son looked like shit. He said it was a summer cold and preferred we buggered off (his words).
The campsite has been tarted up a bit more
the all weather area is fully complete and now houses a club house providing food and local beer. There is a new wash block (a bit clinical) and an office - instead of the farmers wife's utility room at the farm.
A rather buxom young girl was manning the desk £8.60 she quotes (Mark is still waiting for me to go back out to open the gate). Hmm- gone up a bit since last year.
£8.60 per person not per unit!
That is new!
Then she tries to put us in the family field
'Not near the play park- pleazzze, we like it quiet, unless you are putting us on a hard standing pitch I want to go through the gate to the lower fields so we get the sun in the morning. By the donkeys?'
Lots of paper shoveling- ok but there will be just as much noise, the long barn field has 2 parties booked in it.
Don't Mind Don't Mind- just not the play park.
Said parties? Happy Birthday was sung at about 5pm to 'Young William' (who turned out to be 5) and the other all piled into various cars and went out. Since they got back so late not only did we not hear any of them, their cars were locked out side the gates, so they had to walk in.
Young William and his mates were all bombing about in pj's but it was lovely to hear them (still in bed ourselves) at about 7.30am. They were gone 9am when their parents arrived to take them all away. No sign of the other lot when we left at 11am. Kicking out is Noon on site, and we were heading for the market for cheese and fruit and any other bargains (nutmeg and Italian bread and a travel bag*)
*Hopefully just right for our trip TK
