I say go with your nick on here LKTraz for the name of the band.
Do they know you use this name on forums? If not, toss it up to them.
I don't think you need a name that reflects the type of music you play because the promos at the bar already do that for you. If they like you they'll pass your name along to friends to go watch and you'll get your following fast enough and name be known.
Also, I think every band you mentioned as a "taste" of what you do has a dead member in it. How about:
Belly Up?
Oh and stay away from Old Skool - too teeny bopper with all those dopey movies out there now and kids thinking they are indeed "old school"
