Is that why he was drooling over my truck?
The boys were gobsmacked over your truck weren't they?

There is no power steering on the Saab V4 and after the Renault 4 it is a totally different way of driving. The Renault is light, rolls on corners, higher visibility with very few 'blind spots' and nippy but very robust. The Saab on the other hand has brilliant road holding (why the 2 stroke won so many rallies) and more forgiving getting you out of trouble quicker but the weight after the Renault is the stumbler.
Think empty baked bean can on wheels then getting in a house brick on wheels.
Mark and I have just returned from a hotel weekend with the Saab club. Great fun and wonderful to see our friends AND others we haven't seen in ages (I mean years).
We have got another engine out of the trip (go to collect it in 2 weeks) just as well really. Philip called us to ask why the red light would come on on the dash. He checked the fan-belt and the alternator.
The balance shaft has gone

This is the only 2nd car to go like this we have owned and there is no warning.
