I knew either kbear or jilly would crack it.
A helicoper there's a thought.........
A car.
A really really new one too, so you would have thought my parents would have finally been pleased.
Remember when we usually buy a 'new car' it gets 'classic insurance' because it's 20 years plus or older.
There is a scheme for scrapage on old cars but we didn't take that offer up because the car we wanted has a 10 to 12 week waiting list (so this company is secure) which would mean March plates. The tax and scrap deal finishes in February.
Mark went into the showrooms where Christine had worked and a salesman told him the deals. When I went on Saturday to look at the cars again he told us of a car ready to go. The owner bought the car 3 weeks ago but never collected it. Eventually they got hold of him and he came into the showrooms to say he could no longer have the car. His company had gone bankrupt.
So since it was the model we were thinking of getting, we took it.
What is it?
Fiat 500.
White with a red and white interior. The down side because it's in the Pop range there is no individual insignia. I had thought about getting one like I saw in France with a shopping bar-code over the roof.
We saved on the cost because the discount and 15% tax.
It is so small I do think it will fit in Joans' truck. Mark is so going to miss the 900 when it goes, I think it will fit in the boot space of that too!
The good thing it is so cheap to run, insure and tax, and it has city drive to whizz around town- God send!
