oh dear!
Sorry I really could have taken one too since I had my phone with me.
Bailey helped get some photo's of some paired boars we need to find homes for. He had got wet by then (it rained) and I made him go indoors mainly to get some socks on his feet!
I wonder if he will be in a good mood next week when he gets home from school. He is usually very tired and crabby.
I went to collect him from school, last week with Sarah (his mum) since she had no transport. I had to smile he came out of the school gate to her looking like a very miniature city banker. Everything one size too big (the smallest size and still too big for him). He wore a stripy tie over a white shirt and green V jumper with a black school blazer and long black trousers and a miniature briefcase! He is only just 4!
He was furious that his father hadn't come to pick him up. Sarah pointed out Daddy takes him Solly and Lacey to school and Mummy collects. Then he wanted his Step father instead because then he could go to the shops.
Sarah muttered under her breath
'I'm sure this boy is Gay, the only boy I know that likes shopping!'
He refused to get in my car. I had a baby car (he knows I call it Babe) and he was grown up now he was at school.
'That's ok Bailey, you are so grown up you can walk home'
Sarah tried again to get him in the car.
'No Sarah, he doesn't want Babe to take him home, leave him, get in the car'
We get in the car, Sarah isn't very sure. I turn on the engine and wind down the windows, put on 'PopMuzak' and look at him. The bottom lip is wobbling.
'Bailey which way will you go home?'
The wibbly road, past the shops'
'Do you need a lift to the shops?'
Sarah opens the door and he squeezes himself into the back without her even having to get out (it is a 2 door).
This week I'm his best friend again.
