Actually Twist.......
The pre cooked "shit" comes from Klingrstown, Pa. Dunkin Donuts egg patties are one of OUR products.
Each customer has certain requirements for their patties. We run eggs through the breaking machines, prep the mixture to customer specs and then send the liquid to the cooking dept. The mix fills the cooking molds and goes through the cookers and then gets dispensed onto the cooling conveyer. Quality control folks check samples for product temp as it comes off and send samples to the lab for analysis.
Once cooled they are packed and sent to the blast freezer.
The entire process from breaking to final frozen patties takes about 45 minutes. So........essentially they are still pretty damned fresh!
Just so you know, any egg sandwiches you get from:
Dunkin Donuts
Sheetz
Sonic
Burger King
Hardee's
Carl's Jr.
Bob Evans
Panera Bread
Wendy's.........and there's a few more I can't think of right now, come from our facilities.
And yes......we make stuff for the prisons and schools too!
Trudi, the only place we aren't allowed to photograph is inside the plant so, there's no problem getting pics of the eggs on the truck.
