We had too much rain for our garden to be any kind of success. Tomatoes never grew properly, no zucchini - NONE. Got a ton of jalapenos and Basil and Rosemary but everything else is crap.
Then Irene came - and that was it.
I think we had a combo of cruddy soil and the rain. We're going to pull up the rest of the tomatoes this week/end sometime and then till the dirt and then get a yard of nice rich soil to throw on top of that for the winter. That ought to help things for next summer.
'Possum's love corn too. Maybe Rocket shares with his woodland buddies?
Check for excess slugs - they look like rodent teeth taking tiny bites out of everything too. Bastards ate all my strawberries and nibbled on all the low hanging tomatoes.
