It's better than the original IMO.
We enjoy all the Star Trek series and movies but I wouldn't classify us as Trekkies.
Right now we're going through Enterprise, Deep Space 9 and Voyager. All three series I missed in their entirety.
Our favorites so far are Enterprise and Next Generation but I like Captain Janeway of Voyager. She takes no bullshit from anyone!
There was some show on SyFy channel that had a history of all the Star Trek captains and how they tied them all together with the original series from the 60's.
