Glad to hear mama came and relocated her brood to a different warren.

Sadly, late last night 3 of them found their way back here and got trapped in a window well... again. I was woken up by their little scratches at the window and the mewling noises they were making. They are now in a box in my garage with food, water, cut grass for bedding and I'm just waiting till tomorrow to make some calls to find them a home. Stupid little guys had to come back looking for their familiar places. They sure are cute though. And they seem pretty happy in their box for the moment.

You could always raise them to maturity and let them go in the woods somewhere when you're confident enough they have survival skills.

OH! I just remembered! There are people who call themselves 'wildlife rehabilitators'. The take in injured or sick wildlife and nurse it to health and return it to the wild or donate it to a zoo willing to take it. Look to see if there are any of those around you. If an internet search fails, call animal control and ask them if they know of any. Usually they work with animal control and AC knows all the ones in their area.

So explain to them they're wild animals and you can't keep them, but you can do that. Make them part of the rehabilitation process.

I gave you a link to rehabilitators in your area so start calling Smile

Sounds like they might make a decent stew or pot pie.

Yes, if I raised them first Tongue

And then my family wouldn't speak to me for a year and I'd be the only one eating them. Doh! Fucking women!

Well, figure it as a year of silence and peace!

I once threatened to eat my sister's pet rabbit if she did not care for it. One day, she kept ignoring me so I grabbed it and went outside to the garage, where I fetched a hatchet. She saw this and all of a sudden, that rabbit is nothing if not showered with care. I guess I looked pretty serious.

I mean, I probably would have I guess, but he is a cute little bastard and really relaxed/laid back, so it might have been really hard to do if I was serious. He's out running around outside right now. By this, I mean he is just sprawled out on his belly sniffing at stuff, moving nowhere.
