Fun times at the Motor Social! - Twitchin Kitten - 11-01-2018
We run a huge car show indoors at the Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City twice a year. This past weekend was our Halloween themed show and I vended my wares, the band played and I showed my car. Plus I got to play in the freakin' Batmobile!!!!!
This is what Matt got me as a present for showing the car. You can't see it much under the cobwebs. I did a "Tholian Web" kind of thing with a dead Defiant and Dead Captain at the helm.

Yup, that's Grandpa in his Dragula car! I didn't sell anything. I hardly spent time at my table. There was too much to do with the band, the car and helping run the show that I had to keep leaving the table. I also need to get a banner for the front of the table. Another drawback was the lighting on the old casino floor was so dark I couldn't work. Trying to thread and wrap black on black in the dark was way too tedious. So aside from a banner, I need to find a good, battery powered light so I have light in another situation like this. I may also put a buy me button on the website on some stuff.
I just picked up a SWEET vintage golden anniversary Packard key. Might have another one on the way. It was expensive so the necklace will have to be double the price.
I also have to rework the site a little again because if you run the slideshow, there is no place or way to put a description of the items, so I have to work that out somehow.
Monday is a big meeting to figure out how we're going to sign up sponsors and other things for the spring show.

Sooooo, another question. Did you get to drive your car in there? I mean doing a burnout on the carpet would be tempting as hell, or do you have to push the cars in and out?

Yup. Was pretty cool. Had to drive up the ramp onto the boardwalk, then around to avoid people and then into the casino floor from there. was so weird but cool all at the same time.
Now, I had a pic of her somewhere before i decorated her but I can't find it now. I'll post it when I do. Matt's going to gather a mess of bands for January to do some shit in the old House of Blues there. We get the venue free and if we can get like 10-20 bands to come in for a day of music to play for free (yes, many will play free), maybe we can get away with a small cover charge like $10 and we'll have an open bar. If we can stretch it for 2 days all the better.
So basically the Showboat Hotel is being renovated one floor at a time and we're holding events there that are going to be huge.

Defiant Leaving - no burn outs and Matt too blurry pics. But that blur of a man you see is "Leaky" (because back in may his car leaked gasoline all over the floor) tried to tempt me into tearing up the rug. Wasn't gong to do that because we're doing this again in April and have people trying to register already and we haven't even set the thing up.
