It's most likely stupid and most likely you saw all the funny bits in the trailer. The cat is too damn cute.
It's about a guy who loses his girl and gets a cute cat and the cat is stolen by gang members who robbed the house. They are on a quest to get the cat back. The bit that makes it funny I guess is the guys getting the cat back are nerds going up against gangsters. Pretty sure the cat will be the funniest.

We just got back from seeing it. Wait for the DVD.
It was funny, but not enough kitten and not funny enough to spend a full ticket price on.
