Labor Day was the last day of the summer vacation season. Schools didn't start until the day AFTER Labor day.
Not anymore.
That shit aside......what are you doing this last day of the season?
We're gonna do the steaks on the grill thing. Barb scored a big assed vac packed NY strip (13.47 lbs) and we're cutting 1 1/2 inch thick steaks for today then slicing, vac sealing and freezing the rest. Probably go with smaller 3/4 inch cuts.
Made ginger glazed baby carrots and picked up some Bush's bacon, brown sugar and onion baked beans for the sides. And of course there's a variety of beers and booze!

I'm enjoying a day of rest. Real rest. I'm not doing shit today except a load of laundry, some phone calls, and then whatever I want to do for recreation.

Well........
After trimming we got around 10 lbs of steaks.
I have 4 nice thick ones marinating in my own mix. They should be tender, juicy and delicious once they stop mooing on the grill!
