You're going to have to show me with your little paint program what vertical pink stripes you're talking about.
The ONLY thing I can think of what you're referring to is the gradient in the post area and the profile area that you see.
IF that's the case, then it was Chrome. Chrome is a crap browser and it probably didn't render the CSS properly to begin with and maybe a recent update fixed this issue and now you're seeing the full CSS and images for the theme.
That's the only explanation I can think of. The CSS wasn't loading properly for you to begin with. Use Firefox - it works or try Safari for windows - it's even faster and renders images real nice. I would use it but there are plugins that I use for egghead stuff in Firefox that are not available in Safari.

You should see 4 dark and 3 lighter bands vertically in the post area if you're viewing it correctly.

I think i may have the problem figured out, its on my end. When i run neverwinter on steam i have to recalibrate cause its too dark, so when i have that up and i tab over to this forum my contrast must still be higher than normal cause neverwinter is dark as fuck and i gotta bump the brightness up a lot.
