It isn't my 'standard answer', as you should readily know. However, that is the one thing our Federalism was set up to accommodate. If one state is not to one's liking, the citizenry can always vote with his/her feet and make like sheep. There is no need to sit back, and bitch day in, and day out, about how horrible one's state, when they can always make plans, and vacate the premises at the earliest possible date.
Why should this solution be any worse for other countries? Does this make any sense, or am I simply wasting my time here?

I'd rather stay and fight for change instead of running and giving it away to the shit heads. I may not get the goal accomplished but I can say I tried. There is no guarantee that moving will be better. You move to a new place because it's appealing on many of the things that one feels it would make a happy life. I don't like many things here but I have gotten many things I didn't like changed as well. I leave because I want to unless forced by something I cannot control.
