Mark and Philip feel the world has ended. The only male domain (the big shed)
has 17 little girls in it.
10 baby girls in a play pen in the dining room, where the window is open and the heating is off. The good news it brought another house mouse to the surface, packing its bags because of the noise or maybe the chill now in the air.
I have taken them away from Sarah until the shed has a roof on it. I know I have to give them back
Hopefully Sarah will take on board she cannot continue the way she is going.
(BTW who is it that keeps going out and 'just giving the girls a few kitchen scraps' ?)

Aww... Mark has a soft spot for them. He'll deny it to the death I suppose?
Good for you taking them from her. If she can't figure out that she's not taking care of them she does not deserve them. A good pet owner / caretaker should have the sensibilities to know when they've taken too much on.
Try to find them homes before you have to give them back! I'm betting that woman won't fix any roofs nor will she want them back once she sees how easy life is without them. I've run into that a couple of times when rescues helped me catch a mess of cats and promised to help me find foster homes because I said I can't keep them. I never got a call back except to pick up the trap.

Here they are. 17 although some are hiding the boxes and 10 babies in the pen.
