Weymouth, my birthplace and George III favourite holiday spot (NO! I didn't know him)

Maiden Castle, which is even older than Stone Henge. It takes about an hour to walk the whole ridge.

'Charlie's Town' or Poundbury the new town built next to Dorchester designed by Prince Charles himself.

Here is why the ridge of hills at the top of Dorset is called Spread Eagle.
Look carefully and there is the wings and head.

I'm not in charge of the plane here you will be pleased to know.
Where my Granny worked as a cook before marrying my Grandad.

They are silly Crazy
Where would they have the sailing, windsurfing, volleyball and stuff?
I thought Hyde Park Lake would have been ok but the 'committee' decided Weymouth has everything to suit. The old Naval Docks have been re-vamped for the accommodation at Portland (the land spit). The Booms in the picture are where most of the sports will be held and the yachts moored. Weymouth Bay is sheltered enough for all sailing activities including canoeing. The beach is wide and very very sandy- ideal for the womens volleyball Wink

Does Twisteroo need bed and breakfast?

Now I think it would be quite interesting and challenging to have them do all the water sports on the Thames! Rofl
