Mikki Says.... - Twitchin Kitten - 09-26-2010

I don't have a baboon butt anymore! All the hair is growing in nicely. And, I found a nice place to snooze - on our food shelf in the sun!

Happy cat.
Is that a battle scar on her ear or does it just look funny in the picture?
I always wonder why the ears are the first to get it, most of the strays we've had have all had splits in their ears.

RE: Mikki Says.... - Twitchin Kitten - 09-26-2010

Her ear is cauliflowered from flies. Both of them are still badly infected too. But the fleas are gone and so are the worms. She's putting up weight and the hair is growing back.

Ear damage usually is battle scars if they are splits or holes (holes=bites) but when it's just 'chewed' down that's flies and other parasites. Poor ear is thick up at the top too.

You can tell she's relaxed because that lip closest to the shelf is hanging loose Smile

OH if you click the pic it's huge, you can see the ear close up.

RE: Mikki Says.... - twisteroo - 09-26-2010

Oh yeah, it does look kind of thick.

RE: Mikki Says.... - Twitchin Kitten - 09-26-2010

Yeah, it's like someone accordion folded it and it stuck that way. She doesn't like it touched much either.

Does she drool in her sleep?

RE: Mikki Says.... - Twitchin Kitten - 10-16-2010

No but she does drool when she gets brushed. She loves getting brushed. When you pet her, she gives you little love bites as if she's grooming you back. It's so sweet.

Always sleep on the short side of the pillow, you don't want to be known as conventional!
