We went out today to do some shopping. We picked up something for the boat. Had some lunch.
Off to Walmart to get food and a few other thing. Not a fun place to go on a Saturday afternoon. There were some really odd people in there today. I won't tell you about the people.
So we are done and going to the checkout. There we were in line waiting to check out.
A lady comes up to us and says "You need to leave your cart and leave the building. We need to get eveyone out of the store.
We look at each other and head to the door with everyone else.
Get outside and sit down to see what is going on. Cops all over the place. No one would tells us anything. I look around and see some firemen that I know. Walk over to see if they know. Well sure they made some calls. Called some friends to see what was going on.
They got a call that there was a bomb!!!!!!!!!!
The guys also told me that there was one at Kmart up the road
So now we need to go back in the morning and shop all over again.
Who would think something like that would happen in Salisbury.

Holy Shit!
This is why shopping on Saturday is a bad idea!
Did they find the bombs? Was it a false alarm? Are the stores still standing?

Bomb scares are a daily routine here
Bournemouth gets its fair share during the conference season (usually MY birthday which scuppers Everything!)
This Salisbury is a big target, it is a city, a military town and also a very popular tourist spot for the cathedral and ancient buildings in an 'ideal town square' where everything happens from Market day, the Goose Fair, and public parties.
I hope everything was ok kbear and it was just some crank who thought and alarm clock and a box of washing soda would make a mess.

Of course, everyone knows that alqaeda hates wal-mart. Stupid wal-marts.
That does suck, you put up with all the douchebags in wal-mart on a Saturday and never even got your stuff.
On a side note: One time I was standing in the checkout line in a supermarket when the lights went out, a minute later the came back on and I was standing there wondering to myself why I did not fill my pockets with candy bars and shit from those racks by the registers. I swore to myself that next time I will steal all that my pockets will hold.

Well for I know Walmart is still there. It never made the news here. I guess it was just some dumb ass playing around.
Bruce asked me if I told you about all the people in the store. I said no. He said come on you have to.
So let me give you hightligts.
First there was a guy in picking up and potatos and smelling them. I think he did 3 or 4 bags before we walked away.
They we hit the frozen food isle, there we found the big guy standing there holding his crotch and looking around. Ok that was odd.
Then we see the girl in the tight pants and high heel boots walking around and eating doughnuts.
Ok, that was just a few of the odd things we saw at Walmart yesterday.
Wish us luck as we need to go back today!!!!!
And I hope I can find my $2.00 yarn that I had yesterday. Cause I really like it, I can use it to make something with it.

That $2.00 yarn was probably touched by the guy holding his crotch, same hand. Smelled by the potoato guy, and has donut powder on it.

Forgot- we had this guy in the shop yesterday (does this contra' the patient confidentuality act -me wonders) with a private script for the usual 4 tablets. There were a couple of other customers including my doctor, who was after a favour.
So I re-set the programme on the computer to get the charges for this prescription, knowing that it will go over the price David my boss has set as a top limit. This means I have to calculate the costs, changing the fees.
My doctor asks if there is anything he can do while he's waiting, so I ask him to check my maths. I made it £56.89, he made it £107-99, my locum, Sue looked at the figures and just blurted out
'So what is a screw worth these days?'
Another customer overheard and replied 'About £2- a kilo'
At least the guy with the script was good humoured about it, and paid up the price Sue calculated (I was 50p out).
Note* Don't let the doctor near me ever again with a syringe unless the nurse has checked his maths!

Vegetable sniffers! We had a lady sniffing asparagus when we were out the other day!
We did have the Chinese people shucking corn right under the sign that says DO NOT SHUCK THE CORN! Matt yelled at them. They continued.
The fat girl dropped a whole watermelon on the floor. SPLAT! what a mess.
And of course us - bickering as described in Trudi's nagging thread.

Bruce has very little patience for Walmart. As we shopped he was tell me the gene pool was way shallow in here today and he swear that a large number of the people in there that their family tree's don't not fork! He said when we got home we needed to see if there was a sperm bank in town! Somebody needed to do something about it!
I did get my $2.00 yarn and no I didn't smell it!

I was actutally in walmart this morning, before 10am when all the real whitetrash shows up. We were coming home last night about 10pm and almost stopped then just to avoid all the bullshit that goes on on the weekends after all the shitbags sleep off their hangovers.
I gotta laugh though, there is probably a good chance of you seeing me on that people of walmart site.
