RE: An old fashion telephone box call - twisteroo - 07-15-2010 It's tough to find a pay phone around any more, that is a fact. I love reading your posts Rhubarb. RE: An old fashion telephone box call - Twitchin Kitten - 07-15-2010 OK so WHY was I under the impression that when you were here last year Philip was 16?! If I had known he was 20 I'd have found a better place to eat and he could have had adult beverages! sounds like he's having a blast rain and all, Trudi. Tell him happy birthday from me and Matt. Twistie - you should see the pay phones that are still there in NYC
RE: An old fashion telephone box call - twisteroo - 07-16-2010 Actually, that's how I imagine all of NYC.
RE: An old fashion telephone box call - Rhubarb - 07-16-2010 We still have them although most of them are really expensive because they have gone over to credit card or 'phone cards'. Most public places, like campsites and pubs still have coin operated ones. The daft thing is, if you call directory enquiries from your home phone they can charge the earth and even more to connect you. Use a coin phone its free (or was last time I used one). |
