Any war we get into, the outcome would be how big a pair of balls our current president at the time it happens has. GWBush tried to deal with Iraq "tastefully and with [what he believed] good cause" and it was the stupidest thing I ever saw. Pamphlets? Really? "Bad guys stay, good people go away so we can kill the bad guys" is what it basically came down to.

War sucks. Period. You cannot avoid collateral damage.

I think China would not complain if we took out Pyongyang. Save them billions of wasted money supporting a retard.

I feel with iraq, the country was emotionally fueled by the attack and pushed forward with it but as time went on the emotions wore off and people didnt commit to the actions we picked as a country, so they blamed the president instead of taking responsibility. I think alot of oblivious people learned a valuable lesson though, that the world as a whole doesn't share common morals. That as happy and peaceful as they thought the world was there are still places that enslave their women and have little regard for the lives of those that may share a difference in opinion or religious beliefs.

If you have HBO watch the first episode of the new series VICE and you can truly see how fucked the middle east is as a whole, you can watch the episode online aswell on some sites.

Summer begins! Razorbacks tonight at the shore. Some kind of benefit to help restore shit after the storm.

nope. this band plays all into the fall. Smile

I understand people enjoy sea side and shiz, I personally didnt care much for it, I guess for people that live in the boroughs in nyc its a big deal. This whole restore the shore thing just rubs me the wrong way. When you own something especially by the ocean you purchase insurance to protect it, it seems like everyone got fucked by their insurance companies. Now its the communities job to just take it and figure out another way to get money to fix things.

RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - Twitchin Kitten - 04-13-2013

Anthony, this is / was a community based fundraiser by the people who live there and the bands that play there. Seaside was a hole. Always was, but we enjoyed going to the clubs to see our favorite bands close by without having to drive for a day and a half to see them. Freak watching was also fun.

Don't like the fund raisers? that's fine but the insurance companies are going to raise rates on EVERYONE that wasn't affected to supplement the losses. The main problem is FEMA. They are not paying, they are dictating how insurance gets doled out and they now are telling people to take out small business loans because they are out of money.

Seaside is just a tiny section of the barrier island that is the Jersey Shore. The benefit wasn't only for Seaside.

Gotta hand Brigantine kudos for their effort.

They didn't wait around for FEMA, insurance companies or anyone else. Just threw the shoulder to the cart and pushed.

I agree I feel that certain programs we as a country have in place for things like this didnt do their job, as far as the insurance companies I just wish they would have paid out on the policies where due. Your right though knowing them they would just raise everyone's rates.

I think I kind of misspoke in my previous post, I am not against the fund raising and people getting the help. Its just I knew a few people that took advantage of others generosity and it kinda made me sour about it all. Some bitch I know, that before the storm lived in a shit hole and when the storm came she claimed with her roommates that it was in good shape this that and what not. Bottomline is they got funds to pretty much build a new house and I felt there were much more deserving people, I shouldn't let that stop me from helping others though that need it.

RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - Twitchin Kitten - 04-15-2013

There are scammers everywhere Anthony. I know a guy who makes up fake charges and sues people in courts. It's all a shame but if that woman had a home that was demolished, doesn't matter if it was a shitty house or not, it was a house that got ruined.

The insurance companies are supposed to settle claims in 30 days and there is NO REASON they hold things back for this storm's damage. NONE whatsoever. Adjusters came out and saw the damage, lost home etc. So there really is no scamming going on with someone who lost everything. All she probably did was pad up the value of her homes contents. She still lost a house.

The insurance companies are raising the rates on everyone across the entire country for this. People are not getting paid and the insurance companies are playing bullshit with the claim money as well as FEMA. There are a lot of people bitching about checks only being written to the contractors after the work is done and they have to show proof and shit like that.

Ortley beach is still the biggest mess here. I didn't go to Ocean Ave or anything. It was dark by the time we got there and not worth driving around for. The middle of the island looked fine from over the bridge to Hemingway's.
