It is about a job in crocheting. I can't give you all the details as we are working on them. But it made my day, and I had to share.

I will tell you more when I can.

Whenever you talk about crocheting and sewing it reminds me of my all the women on my mothers side that have given me gifts throughout the years. I still have all the blankets patchwork quilts, doilies and other gifts that go back to my great-great grandmother. They are in a cedar chest that I have had forever and take them out and lay them about on the couch and tables when company comes over. They love the history that are in them and it gives me a warm feeling knowing that my ancestors can still make people smile even though they are gone in body.
You should feel proud that you can share your talents and work knowing that it will bring happiness for many years to come.Clap

I just wanted you to know that kbear.Smile

Oh LKTraz I am so sorry to hear this. Can you really not be allowed to have time to say goodbye? It is so important to be able to.
I know over here time is only allowed for direct family (my dad couldn't get time off for my gran's funeral because it wasn't his mother but my mum's- which really sucked).
One of our daughters friend's wasn't allowed time out for Christine's funeral, but someone at work persuaded the manager she would be better off taking half a days holiday because she would be unable to concentrate on work. We are so glad it was agreed, Karen was so very close she was able to accept losing her best friend by the support she got at the memorial.

Thinking of you

I think I've done a good swop on shifts, Silv and I changed weekends so she can see her mother-in-law for a BBQ and next weekend I can drive the Saab to a Swedish Day at a car musuem a couple of hours north. Clap

After a week of "oddball" loads, on Monday I get to do something more "normal" (for me at least).

Deliver to Tastykake at their old bldg, Tastykake at the new plant, then drop off molds to be re-coated at Plastech in West Chester.

I was beginning to wonder if all of our regular customers had gone out of business!

Heading off to the big annual consignment sale. Usually there's everything from can openers to thermonuclear devices (well...not really any nukes) and everything in between! Some years it's a bargain hunter's paradise with things going at pennies on the dollar and others people bid stuff up past the retail price. I hope this year is an el-cheapo!
