RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - twisteroo - 11-11-2012 I should really take some of those places up on that stuff. Home Depot gives 10% off all year round to vets. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - Gunnen4u - 11-11-2012 Well, since I run nearly broke all the time because I haven't been paid like I should have been, I made sure I took this opportunity to get an excellent meal. I used to take them up on it whenever it was convenient. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - Twitchin Kitten - 11-11-2012 Olive Garden does the vet free dinner too. We took advantage of it last year and we got a $10 coupon for our next visit out of it AND a personal handshake and a thank you from the manager. We thought so too until some employee with a brain caught on. You have to be active or a DAV to get every day discounts. Veterans and Memorial day it's any vet. Big whoop. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - Gunnen4u - 11-12-2012 Yea, we don't have an Olive Garden here unfortunately. https://maps.google.com/maps?q=olive%20garden%20missoula&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&sa=N&tab=wl RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - Twitchin Kitten - 11-12-2012 You're not missing much, Gunnen. It's fair quality Italian food for a chain. Sad that small local eateries don't do this for our vets. Bad enough the government uses you all like toilet paper. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - Gunnen4u - 11-12-2012 Oh, I have had Olive Garden before in my travels. We have a Johnny Corino's, which is way better than Olive Garden. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - twisteroo - 11-12-2012 You gotta get in line behind all the white trash and shit bags at the olive garden. All the fuckers go to eat salad and bread till they barf then take the meal home. Fuck, just carry zip lock bags you scuzzy fucks. I'll apologize in advance in case any of you do that or take baggies to the chinese buffet with you. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - Twitchin Kitten - 11-13-2012 mmmm cheesecake Over here, Olive Garden is filled with families with obnoxious, ill behaved children that other restaurants won't allow to dine at anymore. It's the only place that tolerates it. Maybe you can only eat a little, dump some smooshed up strawberries on that and just saw it in half and get back to me.
RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - Twitchin Kitten - 11-13-2012 LOL I'm going to make a dark chocolate glaze to drizzle over it. Sometimes I make little personal sized cheesecakes to give away at Christmas time. You want one if I do those this year? I just freeze it and send it frozen. |
