At 4:30am it was 75 degrees and breezy, not bad for the 24th of Sep. On the other hand, I don't care what they say on the TV weather it usually storms when it is windy early in the morning. There is cold air blowing in from somewhere and when it hits.....I just hope the power doesn't go out when I'm at work. I have not had the power go out on me since I've been on this new job and I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!!

RE: Early morning useless post thread - LKTraz - 09-24-2010

Upside down schedule today. Normally I run frozen customer deliveries on a Friday with a slightly later start time but it's a short day. Today I am doing all shell eggs. First I have to take a load to Elizabeth to our liquid production plant for breaking and then run empty to Ephrata to pick up cage free eggs going back to the plant.

780 cases to Elizabeth (280,800 eggs) and will pick up probably 810 cases (291,600 eggs). I probably won't be done till 5 - 5:30 PM.

Why do you get all the late days on Fridays? That kind of sucks.
Do you have to drive extra careful when you haul shell eggs?Biggrin

RE: Early morning useless post thread - LKTraz - 09-24-2010

Late Fridays are what I mean by upside down. Yeah...you DO have to drive a bit more gently with shell eggs.

Really?? I was just trying to be funny.Shok

RE: Early morning useless post thread - LKTraz - 09-24-2010

Really. Panic stops will "staircase" the eggs. Rough acceleration will do the same but to the back which will kick out the load locks and usually create a multi thousand egg omelette. Hard bumps and potholes can pop eggs right out of the flats and send them to the trailer floor and make several dozen egg omelettes.

Ask Twitch about I-78 across NJ and you'll wonder how we do it without breaking LOTZ of eggs Wink

That is an intersting bit of information. I mean just in case I ever have to tote a few hundred thousand eggs somewhere.Good

Not her fault but the van is down till after Saturday. Will have to make an appointment on Monday. The muscle relaxants and tramadol were approved 3 weeks ago by doc for this problem no success so far Sad thanks for the idea.

Definitely switch if they haven't worked by now. No spasm should last three weeks and the pills should have done something the first night. My doc once told me they really don't do much other than to make you sleep deeply and that alone should relax the muscle. I called bullshit on that because there has to be an underlying factor spazzing the muscle. There was, another blown disk.

Good luck Monday! Hopefully you'll get the Esgic and see how/if that works.

You should invent a floating/hanging system to haul egg with, kinda like hammocks on a boat. The only problem is that you'll need a very wide truck or a very narrow load if you hang it. Don't want them swinging into the walls! Maybe a very soft spring loaded flotation floor?

Just break them all into a tanker and take it as liquid.

Ah now that would make sense... another collapsed disc would probably be reasonable. I have degenerative disc disease to an extreme degree and it's been getting worse they want me to get my neck done at some point and I am laughing at them right now saying yeah right despite the migraines. So I probably need to ride this out and I will be fine in the long run. Thanks for the suggestions.. Patience is a virtue with such things.
