I'm a fairly recent fan of Doctor Who and Torchwood so I was pretty excited to finally get to watch Miracle Day. I had read a lot of comments from pissed off Brits because the setting was now in the US, with several American characters but I reserved judgment.
Okay, I don't see the big deal about the location change but the story itself kind of sucks. Instead of monsters, aliens and same sex lovin', we've got this nebulous power struggle to control world finances and some "miracle" that causes people to linger after they should be dead. I find that I don't really care. I want more monsters.
Also, Bill Pullman as a pedophile/murderer? I really like Pullman, I've really liked Pullman since the 80s and I sure as hell don't want to see him playing a child rapist. God damn it, couldn't they have just made him a serial killer? Yuck.

Yes, I'm furious. I'm so mad, I could spit nails. Well, maybe watermelon seeds... nails are usually galvanized steel and that's really unhealthy, at least that's what I read. And I like watermelon. But you know what, they have those little round watermelons now that don't have seeds and they're a lot easier to eat. So maybe I'll just spit after I brush my teeth. Yeah, I think I'll do that instead.
