OK?

I was wondering what he's talking about too.

Love the ad for Chinese Grocery shoved onto the bottom of his screen though.

Basements are a foreign concept to me, growing up in Southern California and all. Everyone seems to have them here in Utah but looking at that Twistie photo, it reminds me why they make me uneasy. Look at those tiny little windows. Even the front porch has a window embedded in its side.

It's rare to get a basement here because of the sandy soil. Although my father-in-law did have a wine cellar (all of 4 foot deep!)

That is the google street view car getting flipped off. It's like a pic of a hold up, or someone pissing in an alley that was caught by the car.

I was looking at the street view and saw these guys standing there looking, then I scanned back and there was that guy giving the google car the finger. He is probably the king of main street in Niagara Canada falls by now.

Mike is on the shit list for a long, long time. He went and disappeared on us Friday night and won't return calls. If he's not seriously hurt we're adding him to the shitty people from NJ list.

Ya just gotta love friends who believe in the "fair trade" principle!

One of our friends stopped by today to discuss a business matter regarding a fundraiser we're participating in. While here he mentioned that he was going on a run to search for scrap that he could haul away and turn in.

Just so happens that we had some stuff we need to get rid of and that he could sell for scrap! Sooooooooo......we gave him the stuff, he will make a few $$$ for scrap and we get the shit hauled for free! As part of the deal, he offered to help out doing some of the fix-up work I need to do around the house.

Normally we would either have to pay to have the stuff hauled OR a big time scrapper would pay us a pittance for the stuff and make $$$ at the scrap yard on the resale. Our friend generally pays a little for the stuff and makes a few $$$.

With this deal, he gets scrap for free, we get it removed for free AND get a bit of help from the deal.

Fair trade? YEP!

That is good if you are both happy.

Only Scrap is really big business here! so much stuff gets nicked and weighed in for scrap. No one gives the stuff away and anyone who knocks on the door to 'take it away' will make a fortune.
