RE: PONY CAR!! - Rhubarb - 08-16-2011 I saw a scratch on my bumper today! I know I haven't driven into anything and Mark says he hasn't. It looks very much like the edge of a tow-bar or the leading edge of a shopping trolley. Bastards, it must have been in Tesco's. I always park as far away as possible from the trolley park- but MarK thinks I fuss and parks nearer if he can. I got some matching paint when we bought the car, but never had to use it. It has just done 10,000 miles too ![]() RE: PONY CAR!! - Twitchin Kitten - 08-16-2011 I noticed a rock chip in my side fender the other day. I'm going to have to get that sealed ASAP. I can see myself obsessing over every chip and scratch now! ![]() RE: PONY CAR!! - twisteroo - 08-16-2011 You know I could give a rats ass about cars and such, I buy them and drive them into the ground and hate every repair and every oil change and every fill up. But....that is a pretty sharp care for being something that is a necessity. RE: PONY CAR!! - Twitchin Kitten - 08-17-2011 Thanks Twist. I'm having fun driving it too. I'm the opposite as you, if I can afford something fun, why not? I've always wanted a Mustang too and finally am able to afford one and enjoy one. It's always been some kind of pickup truck since 1984 and it started getting "old" having to drive that beast all over. Never mind the repairs on something no one could figure out. I also don't have the luxury you have of running them to the ground and getting something to replace it. I'll have this car, and in good shape, for the next 10 years if I'm lucky. We've bought cars because we are going to use them and better still get a return on them in one way or another. Many of our cars we have 'run into the ground' but then, we take them apart and put them to use again- recycling to the best ability! I've never owned a new car before and I'm not sorry to say it gets treated the same as our Saab and the Renault. It has to earn its keep. Maybe the Saab is in 'retirement' only being used for special trips and pleasure and the Renualt does get the rotten jobs more so now because it has a tow-bar (and even with only 1100cc engine it can tow well enough). We have found a company that fits tow-bars to Fiat 500 now and since our friends are thinking of selling their Saabo (Swedish caravan) it could tow that......except we couldn't go to a Saab event in the Fiat....hmmm re-think. RE: PONY CAR!! - Remedy410 - 08-18-2011 Nice ride TK =) RE: PONY CAR!! - Twitchin Kitten - 08-18-2011 Thank you dear ![]() RE: PONY CAR!! - Twitchin Kitten - 08-19-2011 Finding seat covers has now become a chore. They make some that work for the front and back seats, which I need but I can only find them in black. I want gray. Black interiors are way too hot in the summer. When I do find a gray set, they look like they fit like crap. So far, the only ones I do like are Hello Kitty covers and Matt will not drive the car with HK seat covers. I need Twist to explain that HK is cool. RE: PONY CAR!! - twisteroo - 08-19-2011 Yeah, I would drive a hello kitty car, just like my HK bell on my bike, loud and proud with hello kitty. RE: PONY CAR!! - Twitchin Kitten - 08-19-2011 Thanks Twist ![]() |
