Cats is a prime example of why I think that if the critics pick it, it sucks and if they pan it I REALLY gotta see it!

I agree. Some of the worst movies I have seen are ones the critics loved. American Beauty comes to mind. Nothing but negative, sad, depressing shit throughout the entire movie and the critics claimed it a masterpiece.
