Ok, I really like Mexican food too!!! I found a great place to go to here. I let them pick my dinner for me now. So good!!!!!!!

By the way the New Years date went well. We should see what happens. We had a great time. We did alot of talking and laughing.
keeping an open mind on this one. See were it goes. But I we did see each other again.

While I may make use of the profane in private among friends, or in my own home - every time I hear it in public, I want to break someone's nose.

Someone cuss up a storm in front of you, Gunnen? Giggle
That stuff doesn't bother me at all. There are more egregious acts in public that we should be offended by, like peeing on the side of a car or busy road, building, etc.

Kim, that little mom & pop shop we had here, I used to do the same thing. They got to know us that we would just sit down and they'd surprise us with stuff not even on the menu. They had one dish to die for though, the lady's own creation called, Suzy. It was a shrimp and rice dish with veggies and the sauce was so creamy, spicy smooth! I miss that place.

Foul language? Doesn't bother me. But then you have to consider the bikers that I have spent time with. Probably as bad as soldiers in that aspect.

We have good mexican places everywhere. I'm not a real big fan, just because it is usually impossible to tell the difference between the enchiladas, the burritos, the chimichangas etc. Not only do they look the same, but they all taste similar. But mexican food is usually quick...

I like a good oriental. There is one Chinese place by work that I have been going to for over 20 years. They will do the same, if you ask em 'what is chef doing good tonight?' you will get some interesting stuff! And all good.

Yep! Mexican leaves me like a like a bomb Barf Stomach tight as a drum, head about to explode and well........ I let you guess the rest. Therefore I will stay away from all Mexican restaurants in future (and my brothers cooking).

Got soaked to the skin (in waterproofs too) at the car show. Just as well we didn't take the car wasn't it Rofl It decided to choke at the traffic lights a mile from the house, so we limped it home and took......the Fiat Sorry

Authentic Mexican food is not the super hot stuff you get at some Mexican food places, to be real Mexican food you have to ask for it to be "hot" otherwise it's just flavor.

by the way stay away from the red chili and ask for green unless you are having brisket then it's red all the way.

Havoc's right Trudi... you want it spicy, not flaming hot. Your lips shouldn't get all burned eating the stuff and your tongue shouldn't catch fire!

RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Rhubarb - 01-04-2012

Oh no- this stuff isn't hot- I can do hot- I eat Marks Gurka curries from Nepal.
It was the pancake things and the creamy stuff that makes me ill. The sauce my brother makes isn't hot either, but twice I have been ill afterwards. I can only think it is the combo of the two together. I can do pancakes (although I do find your pancakes for breakfast too much with all the other stuff!) but never with a Mexican dish- maybe there is something in the ingredients that I can't eat without knowing!

I can eat chilli peppers- we brought a load of different ones back from the Chilli farm in October. They were graded, 1 to 5 depending on the degree of heat. One I used in a dinner one night looked so innocent- like a mini bell pepper- Thank goodness Mark stopped me from using the whole thing! My fingers tingled all night because I didn't use gloves Dodgy
Rather not eat stuff like that - lose the flavour of the food!

Pancake things? You mean tortillas? Something else?

RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - LH - 01-05-2012

Once I walked into an Indian place. The Curry was literaly dripping off the walls.

RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Biker Dude - 01-05-2012

I like curry, but that might be a little much!
