We have a good Mexican restaurant close by. Casa De Tellez. The owner's mom is a bonafide Mexican and serves as the chief cook and recipe adviser. The serve both traditional and Tex-Mex so you can go with whichever pleases your palette! The also make some damn good steaks on top of all the Mex.

Winter is officially here. 26ยบ out there and the heat hasn't turned off! Brrrrr! I already long for summer's return.
And top it off, today I get to drive all over hell's half acre for appointments and things to do. Gotta get that Bat'leth in the mail! Been avoiding that due to the crowds and shit from those with the week off. It's all back to normal now - well as normal as Jersey gets - and hopefully the 'amateurs' are back at work and off the roads.

Those cunts at the Nat'l Guard TA are telling me that they and the Univ of Montana don't have a "Letter of Understanding" and so my TA won't be accepted.
I think it's a load of shit and someone is being fucking retarded. If the Univ did that, there would be a fucking shitstorm here since at least a fifth of the students are vets or in the Guard. I mean, I have my regular GI Bill, but this worked last semester, and it would be VERY retarded if it didn't this semester.
I am about to get to the utter bottom of this.

Sunday- get soaked to the skin and our 95 gets drowned trying to get to the Prom' for the New Year car show.
Monday- spend most of the day clearing up the wet debris from the garden and drying sheets/duvet and towels in a wonderful gentle sea breeze. Bonding male piggies in pens in the sunshine
Tuesday- in the words of TK WTF!
Wake up to a storm out of hell
Text the rescue centre to check the plans for the day.....stay at home, the bridge is closed because the traffic lights were out all over both towns.
Branches off the oak tree adjacent to the garden, felt off the guinea pig shed. Get a text from No1 son, he is at work, but the electrics are out. Parents phone, their electrics are out.
We are on a different grid.
The storm settles long enough for us to get some weather proofing quickly on the shed and get the branches off the garden (debris all over the place again) get to dry the hutches out just in time before the rain came back in.
Sod it- it is going to be like this for the rest of the week
I've put my skirt back in the wardrobe......

TA = tuition assistance, I get it from the Nat'l Guard in addition to my GI Bill from the VA.
And I made some calls and apparently they did have some issues with the Guard's payment plans or something. I guess they wanted to wring thousands more out of them most likely - college is a huge ripoff racket by and large. Anyhow, they ended up signing it anyhow, and if they hadn't, I would have had another 90 days to get my stuff in for this semester at least. So I am good to go.
My whole plan includes both the TA and the GI Bill. To fuck me over on one, well, I could get by on the GI Bill, but it would really suck.
