RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Rhubarb - 11-11-2011

Today we started a new project at work and discovered an Audit we forgot from September.

The Audit is to advise our customers on the perils of Alcohol and how to be a safe drinker.......with only weeks until Christmas- got until 1st December to spread the word. Drinks

So.....I'm starting here, Spirits are stronger than beers (no way!) and if you sip a beer it will later longer to drink! (I don't believe I'm doing this) Swoon Guiness
A tall thin glass looks as if you have more than a short wide glass. Drunk

Mondays lessons will be about % of drinks.
(I'm out of here for the weekend again) Ok

Damn retard had to go and have his drunk sister feed him and choke him and ruin my night. The guy has a feeding tube and does not eat solid or fOr that matter, any food.

I was supposed to meet my friend for dinner but now she's stuck watching everyone while the manager is at the hospital and trying to find a fill on for her. I told her that call is not going to be made and she'll be stuck there all night.

She works for the UCP group home nights and weekends and teaches them during the day. They weren't supposed to let the sister in if she is drunk. Idiots.

Monday:
We went to Stone Stafford to collect an engine for the Saab from friends in the car club. Stayed the night and saw their son and daughter in law (I get on really well with Jen- she is nuts)
Forgot the bottle of wine and the flowers so had to stop off and buy more.

Mike has a set of wonky glasses so you can't really judge how much is in the glass. Jen and Steve left at 1 'o'clock and Mike opened another bottle. Mark fell asleep part way through his tea, so we sent him to bed at 2 am and we followed not long after.

Women should only have 2 to 3 units per day and men 3 to 4 units a day.

Hmmmm.... I didn't do too good this weekend. 4 glasses (250mlx 1 glass at 13% = 2.3 units)
Binge drinking is a serious health hazard and 'saving' units for the weekend is dangerous.

I'm going to promote oral hygiene instead.........

Hmm think it may have been more....Mark said Mike was topping up the glasses while Jen and I were laying on the floor giggling and also while we were at the dinner table going through the wedding photo's.......I'm so ashamed, no hangover to show either

Get a Ford. Run

It was a Ford we were going to get that was stuck/broke down. Wink

Truck brand is so overrated anyhow.

RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Twitchin Kitten - 11-15-2011

I got my truck in the shop on Sunday. Seems to be a ground short somewhere from the middle of the cab toward the tailgate.

I've never had any trouble with a Ford except for one vehicle. Turned out my brand new, '97 was a lemon and I got the dealer to buy it back and give me a new, off the line, one of a kind even, '99 F-250. Everything else that goes "wrong" is usually normal wear and tear stuff. Everyone has their own preferences on vehicle brand. I had nothing but headaches with Chevy's - with one of them catching fire on me. Friends who swear by Dodge have brake issues and nearly every one of them had to add helper springs added on to support weight that should have been easy for a one ton truck. I think Ford is the only truck that actually carries a full ton on it's one ton trucks where other brands it's actually slightly less. That could have changed since I learned that info though.

What makes my truck unique is that it's 4" higher than all the other trucks of that year and on. They put into a law here that trucks had to be no more than 15" from the ground to the rear bumper. Some kind of monster truck law to stop idiots who can't bother to pay attention and not tailgate from getting [nearly] decapitated if they rear-end these lifted trucks. I think here you need a special permit for anything over 15" that isn't stock. Luckily I don't need it as I'm grandfathered in.

People get a kick watching me get in and out of that thing with ease. The door step is closer to my hip than my knee.
