Woke up at 2am with a headache wot
Woke up again at 5am unable to breathe (and a headache) sinusitis again.

So worried I'd be late for work I started treating it at 7am with steam, 'Blue Flag', Ibuprofen, more steam, borrowed No1 son's shower gel (mint borage and menthol). Dashed out bare foot to feed the boys.
Asked Mark to run me to work only to see I could walk since it was only 8.40am

Had a stuffed nose and threatening ear ache all day Gah

Why? Why now? Tantrum

I have fuckered sinuses the past few days, I blame the weather changing.

RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - LKTraz - 09-29-2011

Rotten damned rain!!!!!!!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE just give me tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday without rain! If they at least get ONE pro qualifying session in and Sunday is clear then I didn't toss damn near $300.00 down the toilet for tickets to Maple Grove this Sunday.

RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Twitchin Kitten - 09-29-2011

They don't rain date you, LK?

I still feel like shit. Doped up all day and in a few minutes its' time for another pill - so off to la la land again. This sucks - hope it passes for tomorrow as it's a sneak preview at Great Adventure Fright Fest for season ticket holders only!

RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - LKTraz - 09-30-2011

Well if they don't get the qualifying in then they just run the race as part of the qualifying at a different track. Should they do a rain date it's usually Monday (which I took off from work) That failing it would be Tuesday which I CAN'T attend due to work and goodbye ticket $$$. After Tuesday they move on to the next track on the schedule. The tickets would be honored at the next events before the end of the season BUT......I sure as shit can't afford to attend at Phoenix, Las Vegas or Pomona, CA.

Well I'll be damned! It's taking a day off from rain today and we can finally close the pool!

Hope we can manage to hit fright fest at GA later too. Zombie

RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - LKTraz - 10-03-2011

Well at least they got 2 rounds of racing in yesterday before the moisture moved in. At 4:20 hey decided to cancel the semi final and final rounds for the day. They will run them today at starting at 11 AM and fast track as much as they can. I won't be going down due to the costs of food and gas (just plain out of operating money) but it might prove to be some damn good racing.

Yesterday there was some wild assed passes due to the track conditions. It was pretty cold and that made for awfully good performance from the engines but it was just a few degrees too cold for the track temp to get where it was really sticky. It wasn't slick like when it gets too hot but was right on the edge of where it would have been really good adhesion. Some of the cars simply overpowered the track farther down and at speed it made for some exciting shit!

Imagine alcohol funnycars bouncing so hard that the right rear wheel had air between the tire and track at 235 MPH! A bunch of detonated nitromethane engines followed and the pro stock bikes were a little squirrely down track.

We went to Great Adventure last night. I got a couple of pics and a video to get up. Maxine would have loved it! The coasters were running super fast due to the cool weather and the fountain of blood was cool too.

I finally got on the stand up coaster - I didn't like it. Made my back feel funny and my legs were numb down to my knees for about half an hour.

Goddamn government has now invaded iTunes - they're charging your state's sales tax rate on every app purchase.

RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Rhubarb - 10-07-2011

I think I may be going out for sunday lunch, which means I could get that photograph for the next assignment.
Mark had wanted to hi-jack my birthday and invited friends over for a meal, which would be fine if two of them hadn't gone into hospital for prostrate op's in the same week!
I don't want 2 old' men still attached to drainage bags comparing notes at the table!

*one has just turned 60 the other just 62, no age at all Sad
