RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Twitchin Kitten - 08-16-2011

I spent a couple hours at the dealer for the alignment. Girl at the shop window expected me to pay for it.... at $104/hour labor I said no way! I drove it off the lot out of alignment and this should be a freebie. Turned out it was. What they said it could take a couple hours took 20 minutes. No kidding? I never heard of an alignment taking a couple hours. But to kill time I had lunch with Matt and by the time we got back, the car was ready. Nice.

Still costs a fortune to fill with gas... 13 gallons for $45 - ouch.

Now I sit and wait for ups!!!

Never found out what fell yesterday. I didn't see any machines on the floor. so I guess that is good!!

Only have an hour to sit here!!

That has got to be terribly boring Kim. I'd go out of my mind.

Hey! Since the place is empty now, bring roller skates and spend time skating around!

RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Twitchin Kitten - 08-16-2011

So I go out to check the mail 5 minutes ago and on the way up from the mailbox, some hippie kid stops me asking me to sign a petition to try to prevent drilling of natural gas in NJ.

So I told him that I don't think it's a good idea and I'm a big skeptic on this whole global warming thing. I told him that I have every intention of polluting NJ as much as I can before I get out and then I'm going to set a match to it and watch the state burn.

He left.

I will drive to New Jersey just to throw shit out my car window.

Tell my cousins first so they can get deck chairs and a bbq going on it

Quit moaning Joan! Rofl

Try filling it here.......... I put £40 in my Fiat 500 for Christ-sake! It does 55 to the gallon approx (since we are in damn litres now) what will your do?

BTW Mark wants you to French Blue stripe the car- racing colour for the US he says Picknflick

RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Twitchin Kitten - 08-17-2011

Yes, he's been going on about the stripes on Facebook with me. I won't put blue stripes on a black and white car. Besides, it's the base model, not the GT or the Boss. I'd look the fool with racing stripes.

Saw a Boss 500 in the shop lot yesterday. Fool wasted the car with an automatic tranny. Doh
Blue like my truck, white stripes, I was drooling anyway.

Car gets the same mileage as the truck - 18 city / 23 highway.
$3.39 / gallon for 87 octane (regular gas)

Ooohh I saw one of those at Les Mans on the track during a demo. They are nice in blue
(you do know the word tranny, means something totally different here, but I know what you mean) Wink

That's why we got shot of the Saab 900, it was so thirsty around town but much better for distance. I think I said we drove from here to the far side of Denmark (not counting the sea crossing of course) it was doing about 38-40 to the gallon, but only 15-18 in town.
Do miss it for size but it just means we have to think about how and what we shop for now. The camper took the fence panels anyway, when we needed them- just don't tell my dad we had them in the back!

I've got a cold Sad
I was so sure it was just hay fever after cleaning out 20 hutches last night.

I'm going to a party on Saturday too......
