What a crap day! Raining so hard and so much the pool is about to overflow. Any plans of bicycle riding or playing in the pool are nixed. Going to be wet for the next couple days.

I think when Matt gets home we're going to try to go see the new Ape movie. The CGI apes look fantastic! The look of utter contempt and hate toward humans in their eyes is riveting.

Respect the other moviegoers -

no monkeying around in the theater!

Whistle

No1 son has gone to see that but unfortunately not with Carly, she is 'grounded' (or fortunately since it has saved him the theatre ticket)

I like her Mother's tactics- every mis-demeanour gets penalty points which tot up to getting grounded for 24 hours. Phil' went to the beach with Carly and her family.
Kirstie got 10 points for refusing to dust off the sand before getting in the car (but got 5 back for fetching the pan and brush and sweeping out when they got home).
Carly got 3 points for swearing at which Phil thought was cool (!) He told her Mother he tries not to swear around either of us, I 'ping' his ear, if I'm in striking distance and his Father says 'Language Timothy!' in a BBC accent*. He hates both so..........doesn't swear.
*Mark's phrase comes from a very old BBC comedy soap, where an elderly couple still have their middle aged son living with them. He is desperately trying to leave the clutches of his aging mother who treats him like a 10 year old and anything he says to stand up to her, his father says that line (usually from behind a newspaper).

We never got in to see the movie - tried two theaters too. Pouring rain = sold out shows. So we had a light dinner at Atlantic Bread and went home and watched all that we had on the DVR and then a movie. We're going to try tomorrow or late tonight.

Did he like it?

I'm dragging ass today... pouring rain again and it's a good day to upgrade the site and the few others I have to do. Saving TK for last as it's got the most work to do. I got two done, one more to go that I don't own and then I can take my time on this site.

I just can't get motivated! Gah

I think twist has quit on us. He hasn't logged in in days and hasn't said boo since coming back from vacation. I hope he's OK.

RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - LKTraz - 08-15-2011

I don't think he quit. Remember last year when he returned from vacation? He had a bunch of shit at work that kept him running like a nut for days at all hours. I'd bet that it's the same thing again.

Sounds like kbear is in the thick of Mayhem city.
Guess to get a break Twist has to do a 48 hour day first
Poor TK.......

I couldn't make head nor tail of what Phil was on about with the film. He liked it though.

Whoever took the sun away better give it back.

Got an appt again with the dealer today for the alignment. I was going to go for a drive but the weather sucks again. Figures, I buy a car that I love to drive and I get sucky weather for it.

RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Rhubarb - 08-16-2011

I had to work today, at first I didn't mind because it was crap weather, but then it got sunny. Boss let me go early so I could still make Bike Night with the 'pack'.
I was missed at the Rescue too, Sarah forgot I had to work and she text to see if I was ok. I've stopped taking all my med's and she knows, so thought I'd wobbled again like before. Hopefully not this time!
