Your image won't work. I keep trying to fix it but it won't.

I wonder if it's on purpose they did this or absent mindedness?

I was never a fan of that vehicle and now they're making it look more Jeep like than Ford Bronco like. Is this appealing to you, Biker?

RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - Biker Dude - 06-17-2020

I go through this all the time here, I can see it.  Strange.

Appealing to me?  Not really interested in payments.  All my vehicles are paid off.  But if I wanted to get back into off roading, the Bronco will kick some serious ass.  The manual will most likely be a 7-speed gertrag unit, with a super low granny gear.  Has some other tech that literally nobody else does.  Looks?  We will see what it actually looks like, I haven't been a fan of new car looks for a long time.  The Mustang is about the only thing Ford does that I like.  I loved the old Bronco.  I would love a '67, 302, 4 speed.  But they rode like an over inflated basketball, same as the old CJ's.  But they were better off road than the CJ's because front coil springs instead of the leaf springs the CJ had.  Top heavy, not stable, terrible mileage.  But just so cool.

Oh, try this image...

I don't do any off roading so I have no intention of buying it. Looks very much like an off road version of the Explorer. it looks kinda small in size too. More like the size of that silly Bronco II. Like you, I've not had much love for anything new from Ford other than the F series trucks and the Mustang. We see those "camouflaged" vehicles all over when we go to Michigan. Love the duct tape showing on this one!

Yeah I agree on looks.  It is smaller in person than the Explorer though, a little higher.  Rumor has a 2-door version coming at the same time, with a pick-up version maybe later.  Makes a little bit of sense as it is aimed squarely at the Wrangler.

Went on our first cruise and tour of the year with our car club. Pennhurst Asylum. The club president seems to have a knack of picking the hottest days to do these things and it's always a place without air conditioning and outside the whole time. UGH. It was interesting though. Pretty much the same sad story of abuse and neglect as the Willowbrook scandal that Geraldo exposed.

Sounds like the year my wife decided to take the motorcycle class. I told her 'do early June so it isn't too hot'. It hit 98 on Saturday and she almost passed out from heat stroke...

Daniel has a knack of picking the hottest days of the year for runs. Top it off, when the group finds a restaurant that can accommodate us all, they stick us outside to eat. Ugh... nothing worse than eating with flies and you're sticky and miserable from the long, hot day. I hate eating outside anywhere.

Kinda like how they closed a lot of streets around Denver so restaurants could expand seating into them, or parking lots.  Like I want to go sit at a folding table in the street or parking lot to eat.  On a hot day, say 90, st a mile high, the sun is fucking brutal.

Is that Clyde Barrow or Matt?

I wonder how many people are freaking out because facebook is down right now.
had a GREAT weekend in Wildwood once again for the Race of Gentlemen. Lots of new friends and met up with some old ones.
HOPEFULLY next year we will have a slot for the band to play.

COVID hit that area pretty hard it seems. What would normally be open until another week or so is closed. Once the races pulled out (it goes by the tide for Sundays) in the afternoon (around 5 ish) all the boardwalk shops starting closing up and the diner attached to the hotel we stay at wasn't even open at all. Not closed forever, but early for the winter. Several motels were toast. NO credit or debit cards this week and I'm going to assume it was because they were packing up and prepping to call it a day until next year.

Stopped to hang with Lucy the Elephant and get a T-shirt and that too was closed, but for renovations so that's kind of a good thing.

What I did not enjoy was getting a call from my friend who was left sitting in a chair on the beach, alone and too drunk to get up. 1AM - no one wanted to help her and her friends who she came with ignored her call. So of course I'm the good friend. They were mad enough at her that they left yesterday, a day early. Starting to get tired of this "good friend" shit. It's never reciprocal.

But all in all, TROG is always a good time.
