RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - Twitchin Kitten - 11-28-2018 (11-25-2018, 11:51 AM)Biker Dude Wrote: I've seen Trans Siberian Orchestra live here in Denver. Was a good show. Maybe a bit over done on the stage production as I went for the music, but a good show. Good reason for a trip downtown. Well I gotta say I was quite impressed! I'm not big on laser shows, but goddamn the talent and what it takes for production of such a thing is off the hook! Two shows every venue. Just looking at all the equipment and then the local talent that is added to the orchestra on each city they perform in impressed me. They also make listening to Christmas music tolerable! Driving from here to Connecticut and back was a living hell. They have surpassed Michigan drivers as the worst in the world. That takes a lot! They seriously need signs on the roads that say "Upgrade Maintain Speed" because no one understands you need to not idle up a hill. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - Biker Dude - 11-29-2018 Lol, my father in law live in Connecticut. He doesn't drive slow. His car basically has one speed. Full throttle... His car basically has one speed. Full throttle... Not if he's on the southern coast along the 95 corridor. I gotta give in to the fact that it was the holiday weekend too and the idiots were out looking to cut down trees too. damn near every car had a tree on the roof on heading in both directions. If you go farther up past UConn college on the west side you get past all that clusterfuck bullshit and it is smooth sailing. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - Twitchin Kitten - 12-01-2018 OOOH check out these pics from NASA on Mars. some pretty cool shit here. http://www.beautyofplanet.com/nasa-has-just-released-2540-stunning-new-photos-of-mars-2/?fbclid=IwAR0PRt14W3uAJEzpR2bm1InSXbAp0E2DqUsEYzU5KYgwwzn45I8HJoNfgt4# RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - twisteroo - 12-01-2018 Pretty cool mars pics, not that I know what I'm looking at. I can't help but wonder there are a few recent impact crater pics, so if there are so many recent impact sites why would anyone want to go there? Or do they mean recent like in the last million years? RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - Twitchin Kitten - 12-15-2018 I'm now at Freehold Ford looking to undo some financial damage they pulled on me. wish me luck because I'm about to make someone cry today. I want to walk out of here with a new Edge without a dime out of my pocket. wish me luck RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - LKTraz - 12-16-2018 That must have been some massive financial damage if you figure they'll let go of $30,000 + MSRP as compensation. I'm leasing Rick. I wanted out of the lease because of all the extra costs I should never have been charged. I didn't get my way, but he did say if I come back in the summer he'll let the lease out without me having to pay the rest of the year's payments if I buy a new car (which is what I intended to do) but I'm not liking what Ford is doing with the new cars. The Edge suits us fine, but it's FWD. The engine is not big enough for the job. ALL the SUV's except the Expedition are FWD and I'm not liking that. Also, the Explorer was considered for cargo room but like the Expedition, you cannot get it without 3rd row seats. I don't need a mini bus. They don't fold as flat as they keep trying to tell me they do. We are going to most likely go with Subaru Forrester. American manufacturers cannot compete with the Japanese when it comes to performance and gas mileage on large vehicles. I get better gas mileage out of my Mustang than I do on the Edge. I'll kill me not to go American but if they don't up their game, I gotta switch. I need a winter vehicle and something that holds that upright bass and his gear. My lease is up January 2020. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - LKTraz - 12-18-2018 If you want to stay with a US based company take a look at the Jeep Grand Cherokees. I didn't even think of that. I'll be checking that out for sure. |
