It does sound nice. Much better than a sinus infection.

Today I ride. I feel a bit better, stinging in my face gone so I'm outside today.
A little gardening, clean the floors and I'm out and riding.

This is how Mark rounded off our week off work.

Our dear friend Etianne in Begium, goes to car shows and events and gets these PR girls all over him! So Mark (not being jealous) has started doing the same.

The verdict on the truck is:

A broken tie rod! Yahoo

It'll cost $45 for parts and Matt will replace the busted one.

The worst part about that job is separating the old one from the steering knuckle (for an outer tie rod) or the connecting shaft (for an inner).

Be sure to buy a new castle nut with it so Matt can use the old one to help beat the tie rod out. Even with a separator you still sometimes need to "convince" them to come out.

Also make sure you grease the new one. I know many come "pre-lubricated" but you should give them a shot of grease just to be sure. Sometimes the factory under lubes them.

Yeah, Matt got step by step instructions on how to take it off and what kind of hammer to use to beat the crap out of it and the sleeve to loosen things. Another good thing is to count the turns when taking it off so you know how many turns to put the new one on or your steering wheel is going to be "crookedly" lined up.
