RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - kbear - 05-10-2011 (05-10-2011, 06:16 PM)Rhubarb Wrote: (The afternoon tea was like being in Bermuda for the day- sun, sea, posh boats, fabulous view with silver service, towers of cakes and scones, choice of tea- special treat for a nice sunny day) Sounds like a great time! I wish I could of gone with you!!! RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Twitchin Kitten - 05-11-2011 It does sound nice. Much better than a sinus infection. Today I ride. I feel a bit better, stinging in my face gone so I'm outside today. A little gardening, clean the floors and I'm out and riding. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Rhubarb - 05-15-2011 This is how Mark rounded off our week off work. ![]() Our dear friend Etianne in Begium, goes to car shows and events and gets these PR girls all over him! So Mark (not being jealous) has started doing the same. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - twisteroo - 05-15-2011 I kinda like the blonde. ![]() RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - kbear - 05-15-2011 Looks like a guy thing! I have tons of pictures of girls on the beach that Bruce took. He make a screen saver of all of the girls. Yes I made the group. Kind of miss going places and not having to pics of girls. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Rhubarb - 05-16-2011 (05-15-2011, 06:33 PM)twisteroo Wrote: I kinda like the blonde. They are sisters, Mark told the blonde although he liked blondes red-heads are better in bed- she laughed and her sister went pink- both are out of a bottle Twisteroo- they told me. So they could be any colour you want ![]() RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Twitchin Kitten - 05-16-2011 The verdict on the truck is: A broken tie rod! ![]() It'll cost $45 for parts and Matt will replace the busted one. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Rhubarb - 05-17-2011 My Bertie came running to greet me for breakfast today! Hardly a wobble on his back feet ![]() RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - LKTraz - 05-17-2011 (05-16-2011, 08:23 PM)Twitchin Kitten Wrote: The verdict on the truck is: The worst part about that job is separating the old one from the steering knuckle (for an outer tie rod) or the connecting shaft (for an inner). Be sure to buy a new castle nut with it so Matt can use the old one to help beat the tie rod out. Even with a separator you still sometimes need to "convince" them to come out. Also make sure you grease the new one. I know many come "pre-lubricated" but you should give them a shot of grease just to be sure. Sometimes the factory under lubes them. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Twitchin Kitten - 05-17-2011 Yeah, Matt got step by step instructions on how to take it off and what kind of hammer to use to beat the crap out of it and the sleeve to loosen things. Another good thing is to count the turns when taking it off so you know how many turns to put the new one on or your steering wheel is going to be "crookedly" lined up. My little 10 pound mini sledge will do the trick on the pounding ![]() That thing is my handy helpful camping helper to pound stakes in the ground when I made my temporary horse corral. |
