RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - Biker Dude - 07-10-2016 I should post some of the crashes from over the years. Of course now it is fully paved. It was not only more fun when it was dirt, it was safer. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - Twitchin Kitten - 07-11-2016 So, I haven't had a bee sting in ages and somehow yesterday a bee flies up into my pants, stings my ass twice and my knee three times. The bees have now made up for lost time. I have no idea what kind of wasp these are though. They're tiny, black with yellow stripes. NOT yellowjackets. Those are as big as a quarter. These are smaller than a dime. If I can find one I'll get a pic for you guys. I have a ton of them in the pool, maybe I can grab one out of there. You know there'll be none now that I want to take a picture, right? They paved it to eliminate erosion issues with the old dirt road. It was much safer as dirt, as the speeds were lower. The show was better too, but that is all immaterial. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - Twitchin Kitten - 07-12-2016 Not gonna happen. The welts went away quickly as well as me having little to no reaction other than the welts. Usually I'm sick for days after a sting. These are tiny wasps I've never seen before. The three here, blurry as they are, were in my pool skimmer along with a fist full of their 'friends'. Anyone know what these are or about them? My house is full of them in the yard. [attachment=3515] RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - Twitchin Kitten - 07-15-2016 Am I the only one who notices that when attacks happen, you never hear any Arab nation leaders step up and condemn along with the rest of the world's leaders? RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - twisteroo - 07-15-2016 I saw one of your little bee buddies out in the garden the other night. I don't know what they are but I've seen them all my life. It's not just you. You would think that at least the "Who gives a shit about religion?" Arabs would speak up but, not a squeak. That's why I really get irritated when the media mentions the "peaceful muslims". Where are they? Haven't seen or heard from one yet. By their silence (IF they truly exist) they are validating and condoning the radical terrorists. I think comparing these people to the old Viet Cong is appropriate. The way we could tell who was and wasn't VC during the war? If you shoot and they run they are VC, if they stand still they are WELL TRAINED VC! Peaceful muslims my ass. |
