why is it whenever I am expecting a package from a FedEx delivery, it takes forever to get to me? People rag on the post office all the time, but I get letters and packages faster and cheaper than UPS or FedEx. UPS is leaps and bounds better than FedEx too, but both private carriers are now really expensive compared to the PO when years ago it was the other way around. For the prices they charge, you'd think they would be swifter.
Look at all the hops this takes. When I track a package from the PO it goes from start to the state it is to be delivered in and then to the local PO for delivery. Each hop here requires processing and then shipping. Seems like a giant waste to me.

If they are coming FedEx ground, they will pass through service centers, get put on trucks going the right direction. Next day or the quick method gets less of this.
I just ordered something from Amazon and it got here in one day instead of the two day I get for free with Prime. But being in Denver we are a major hub for everybody. I don't have an issue with USPS either though. A brake caliper I order from Australia got here pretty quick even.

I know, right? I order a lot of stuff online and it's always the FedEx that takes this insane route to get here. I tried expedited shipping once from a regular retailer I use, fedex fucked that up and it took longer than normal instead! The retailer refunded my purchase and said to keep the dress free as a courtesy.
