I still don't get it. YOU stick up for those who like the "simple" games and they go hostile on YOU? Because of YOU the moderator thinks it's hostile?

Do I have it backwards? I mean I just double checked the first post with your comments about this and it seems to me YOU were only asking for civility.

Well, I started out rather vague in my OP asking for civility but because that other poster called me out for my merciless and heartbreaking attack on her non-English speaking, physically disabled and psychologically damaged friend, the thread got a little more specific than I had originally intended and I'm willing to bet that other poster reported me for breaking the NUMBER ONE RULE.

I don't know why I bother posting there, it usually ends up pissing me off.

I know several of you were on the edge of your seat with this gripping saga of online intrigue and deception, so here's the grand finale:

I sent the person in question a PM and she told me that after our last PM concerning "ghostcat", she was sure I was talking about her in my plea for civility which she felt was unfair since ghostcat doesn't speak English very well. I wrote back that I had never PMd her before, I've never talked to anyone about this ghostcat person and I showed her a copy of the offending post written by someone that obviously has a very firm grasp of the English language.

Oops.

Seems kind of funny that she didn't wonder about her friend with broken English using 'sophisticated' in a post but she was obviously in a rush to extend her umbrella of political correctness.

Stay tuned till next week when someone else online gets under my skin.

Your post was directed at no one in specific. How does this woman manage to twist it and manipulate it to her needs and get away with it? I'd join and bust her chops risking banning but it would be way too obvious and it would backfire on you instead of me.

RE: People annoy me, part 2,386,330 - Twilla - 11-14-2010

I got a PM from someone that basically confirms that forum is filled with lunatics:

Quote:Ha ha! This same thing has happened to me on numerous occasions. For example, when I suggested that hidden object games should be more challenging-- I was accused of being prejudiced against blind people. Indeed, one woman who used to post here wanted hidden object games to be designed specifically with blind people in mind! I rose to the rank of public enemy number one when I suggested that this was a rather silly expectation. From that point onwards, the ladies tried to make it seem as if I was automatically against all disabled people. I am not even kidding about this!

Last week I suggested that people were over reacting about the Dracula III game that was recently removed from the website. I did not see why they were still complaining about it considering that they were not only given access to the game but were also given a free credit as compensation for the glitch. Someone countered that her poor mother who can barely move her hands without crying out in pain needed to play that very game as a form of pain relief.... The list goes on.

Chances are good that regardless of what you have to say-- someone will counter with a post that links the argument back to her poor health and will try to make you seem like you are the most insensitive person in the world for even suggesting that things are otherwise. There is a real victim complex operative in the forums! I wish you the best- Kala

Those assholes sound ripe for the picking. I dont' think I'd be able to control myself there with the likes of them. It'd be too easy to pick on them.

Sounds like a bunch of whiners with axes to grind and the lack of guts to do it in the proper place.

heh heh,,, I belong to a sweet little friendly medical forum full of sweet little ladies and men who talk about diabetes.. there are one or two nasty people who think it's okay to tell everybody how there opinions are best... In the interest of not being banned. I walk away when they inform me I am wrong, will be wrong, could never be right in my life time, and should shut my mouth. God love her one of the other members warned me that "JOHN" his name has been changed for his own safety from me.... picks fights is a trouble maker and is weird. Bah bah bhahahahahaha.. I am not the worst flamer here by far but I can hold my own... he knows not what he does.. LOL... I can always find a new forum but can he find a new mind?

Which is why I wonder... why is this individual still in possession of their mental function when dealing with the likes of you who could easily disembowel them? Were you in a good mood or sometin?

A new week, another annoyance. This time someone is all bent out of shape about the 'message' on a baby's onesie and got a bit short with me when I said that I doubted the baby could read it. So many things to be worried about in the world and this woman thinks some print on a garment worn by a baby will cause future self image issues. Alright then!

Apparently this woman never saw my baby clothes that I had way back when in my little shop where I see the site t-shirts!

One said, "Daddy's bottle is better than mine!" and there's a whole line of rude shirts but I forget where online they sell them. One said, "They beat me" and one of my members had a red fit and left forever. She couldn't take the joke because she was studying to be a social worker for kids in the UK and really was sensitive about child abuse.

Some people just can't take a joke.
