One time we had an empty stove box and we were driving the car into it at around 2 AM. Bobby was down from NY and he always has his police scanner because he always hopes to hear something 'good' come over it down here. He did. He heard the call that someone was driving into all the cars on Harrison Rd.
That was us hitting the box.
We put the box away, sat in the dark watching the cops drive up and down the wrong road about 7 times before they gave up and went back. They actually called in they saw nothing on Harrison. No shit, they were on Tyler the whole time!
I could see Tyler to the west and Harrison to the east clearly from my house because I'm on a hill and my road only has three houses on it. We laughed for hours afterward.

I think that's one of the reasons I like to ride bikes, I can speed, race, break laws, run stop signs, ride backwards down sidewalks, etc, and nobody even knows I'm doing it.
Shotgun season started for deer here yesterday. it's 6:49am, looking out the window it don't look light yet, I already heard 3 shots.
I just checked a weather site, sunrise is at 6:50am. There's more shots.

I don't like waking up to the sound of gunshots here. Last time that happened 6 people were dead on their lawns.
I heard gunshots in the distance last week before we went into the city - I was told they were duck hunting in the area. I'm sorry, I'm in NO WAY anti-gun but when you're out there hunting in a small marsh that backs up to a residential neighborhood, that's too damn close.

I know someone has to weed out those deer, I used to hunt myself.
I say if someone else wants to spend $4,000 to get 50 pounds of deer meat in the freezer, good for them. I just don't have the urge to kill a deer lately. I would if I were hungry, but I have not been hungry in a long time.

The cars are doing a fine job of weeding them out this year. I never fail to be amazed at the idiots who keep claiming that NJ is getting overrun with deer and fail to mention that they are building gigantic developments and shopping complexes ALL THE TIME here, taking away the feeding and shelter of the damn deer. We're not overrun, we're squeezing what little are left onto the roads and out of their homes.
NJ is developing too fast for it's tiny size and they've poorly planned it all.
