RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - twisteroo - 10-15-2010 Nah, I just like the taste of it. I don't weigh 600 pounds or anything, it's all about the taste. I don't usually put sugar in coffee either, just because of the taste, I don't usually put butter on bread or mashed potatoes either and don't care much for gravy. I mentioned the diet coke because it was funny, a giant cup of coffee would have actually tasted better. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Sally - 10-15-2010 I hate the taste of artificial sweetners, it's right up there with liver and chitlins. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - twisteroo - 10-15-2010 I like liver, I can't say I've ever had a chitlin though. That sweetner in the pink packets is gooood. For some reason I actually really like the taste of that stuff, it gives the coffee an extra flavor, or maybe the brain hemorrhoid I have growing in my brainpan is just telling me it tastes good to get more of it and keep it's food supply coming. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Rhubarb - 10-15-2010 Black Pudding ![]() Hubby hates it so much he even refuses to cook it at work for the soldiers. So No1 son and I cook our own. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - twisteroo - 10-15-2010 What is in black pudding? RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - kbear - 10-15-2010 I'm just going to say you can keep Black pudding in Eagland!!!! Been there Done that!! Don't want to have it ever again!!!! Just don't ever let it get cold!! RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Twitchin Kitten - 10-15-2010 I don't blame Mark for not making it. It's quite gross. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_pudding Black pudding or blood pudding is a type of sausage made by cooking blood or dried blood with a filler until it is thick enough to congeal when cooled. It is also called blood sausage (first attested in 1868, perhaps influenced by German Blutwurst). Although "blood sausage" is often labeled as a North American term, it is also found in British English (e.g., in the story "The Name-Day" by Saki). "Blood sausage" is also used as a term for similar blood-based solid foods around the world. Pig or cattle blood is most often used; sheep and goat blood are used to a lesser extent. Blood from poultry, horses and other animals are used more rarely. Typical fillers include meat, fat, suet, bread, sweet potato, onion, chestnuts, barley, and oatmeal. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - twisteroo - 10-16-2010 OK, I was thinking it was blood pudding, I would give it a tiny taste. I mean you never know, you just might like it. RE: The Completely Pointless Thread - Twitchin Kitten - 10-16-2010 They said that about Marmite too. ![]() |
