Today, a bird ran into my window for some reason. I guess the bastard didn't see me standing in the kitchen right in front of it, and didn't think, "man, I shouldn't fly into that window as even though I can't see the glass, there is some big guy standing there."
I went outside and picked him up, and fortunately, he only knocked himself senseless. After chilling out in a shoebox with a bunch of paper towels in case he/she (I didn't check for gender -- how does one do that to a sparrow anyhow?) shit itself, it came to and I opened it up outside when it made a racket in the box. It looked at me for a moment and stopped the ruckus, then flew off.

Last time I was in this heat at this time of night I was in the Outback in Australia.
That's odd- I was going to a motorbike museum the following morning in Tamworth. Going to Sammy Millers tomorrow...more bikes!

Holy crap it's hot outside!
Mowed the lawn and am watering it now. probably gonna have the water running all damn day it's so hot and dry.
Thank god for the pool. I've been in and out of the water since 8 AM between working in the yard.

80º at 6:30 AM today. And it's like a sauna.
Going to wash the car before 8 and do errands early. Then we're heading out to Atlantic City for the day
